Hilton Points Bonus 1000%

The best use of Hilton Points is for luxury hotels on islands like Seychelles, Maldives, and French Polynesia, where cash rates are usually high. If you are a Silver Member or above (Gold, Diamond) at Hilton Honors, you can book 5 nights with points and receive the fifth night free. This can be a great benefit if you can find availability at expensive hotels for 5 nights with some significant savings. This is only possible for Standard Room redemptions. Since Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is now a partner of Hilton Honors it is possible to earn and use points with them.

Below we will provide some examples of how you can use your your Hilton Points:

The first example is the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Hotel. You can find availability for 120,000 points per night for a Water Villa. Cash rash at this hotel usually starts around 850-900 € per night. Please remember that a Seaplane Return Trip is necessary when staying in this hotel, which costs an additional 675$ per person. So we would recommend staying a minimum of 5 nights.

Maldives Points Example 1

This would be an average price for 5 nights without the transfer cost. Below you can see availability for a Sunrise Water Villa and Beach Villa, each starting at 120,000 points per night. If you book 5 nights (including the 5th night for free) this would cost you 480,000 points for 5 nights.

The second example, which could be an interesting redemption is the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island. Cash rates here usually start around 1200€ per night. The hotel currently offers a free plane transfer for stays until 31.10.2025 if you book your stay for a minimum of 6 nights (some exemptions apply, and some dates are excluded, so please check the conditions before booking). This could save you 1400€, as a transfer to the hotel costs 700 € per person.

Here you see below, that there is availability for July 2025 for 130,000 points per night.

Seychelles 6 Nights

You can find a One Bedroom Hawksbill Garden Pool Villa that would cost around 8000 € for 6 nights. If you book 6 nights (considering the 5th night free) the costs with points would be 650,000 points (5×130,000) in total.

There are a couple of other good examples for booking with points. If you find any availability, you could book the Waldorf Amsterdam for 120,000 points per night. A good alternative is the Hotel TwentySeven (SLH) in Amsterdam, where cash rates start at 900€. We found some rooms available in summer (July) for 130,000 points per night.

Amsterdam SLH Example 1

Some SLH Hotels in Greece are also available to book with points. The cash rates are usually around 1000€, and award nights start between 110,000 and 140,000 points depending on the location. It might be worth to consider it, especially during the summer season.

Finally, we found two more examples that might be worth considering.

Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is usually very expensive during the season with rates around 700€ per night. You can book rooms with points for 80,000 points per night which can be great value.

Hilton Dubrovnik Points Example 2

The last example, which is also worth mentioning, is the Hilton Lake Como. Cash rates start at an average of 800€ per night during high season. It is possible to book the hotel for 90,000 points per night.

If you have a trip planned, especially during summer, it is always recommended to compare rates. Booking with points can be cheaper than booking with cash rates. For very expensive destinations like Maldives, Seychelles or French Polynesia, it is always recommended to book with points. However, often, it is not easy to find availability for 5 nights or more. Since SLH is now a partner of Hilton, you have far more options available when redeeming points.
Important! We would not recommend buying points and keeping them in your account for too long if you do not have travel plans shortly. Hotels, like airlines, can change availability on short notice or devalue the loyalty program and make it more expensive to use your points.
